TimberKing offers five different portable sawmill models to serve five very different needs.
The 1220 is a “weekend warrior” mill, ideally suited to small, occasional cutting projects at home, on the farm, or at a hunting or fishing camp. While the 1220 is intended for weekend use it’s built tough so folks who decide to use it harder – like 60 hours a week! – find that it’s more than tough enough to stand up to what they throw at it. As an example the 1220 features the same machined, greasable blade guide rollers found on our 1400 and 1600 mills.
The 1400 offers the convenience of a trailer-mounted hydraulic mill for the budget-minded sawyer who still demands the best. It features a full 20 foot cut capacity plus basic hydraulics – hydraulic power feed, hydraulic blade up/down – along with a winch-based auto log loader and a manually-operated bi-directional chain log turner.
The 1600 is for the sawyer who needs more automation but doesn’t quite need the high production of an industrial mill. The 1600’s automated features – hydraulic power feed, hydraulic blade up/down, hydraulic bi-directional chain log turner, hydraulic log clamp and hydraulic log loaders – dramatically increase production. In addition the 1600 can be “powered up” with either the TimberKing Computer Setworks Plus or our most advanced SuperSetworks.
The 2000 is the classic choice for folks who need full hydraulic automation in a 4-Post Mill. The 2000 is fully automated for significant production: hydraulic power feed, hydraulic blade up/down, hydraulic log loaders, hydraulic log dog, hydraulic bi-directional chain log turner and hydraulic toe boards. In addition to this the 2000 carries the same advanced computer SuperSetworks we put in the larger 2200 and 2400 mills.
The 2200 provides many of the same features as the 2000, but “beefed up” even more and with more power and capacity than the 2000. With its 49HP Kubota power the 2200 is the choice for folks with second-growth trees to cut who really need to get maximum production.
The 2500, is our biggest, most powerful machine, made especially for professional operations that need to be able to handle the biggest logs. With the 2500’s massive 59HP diesel power-plant, huge log cutting capacity and dual Hydraulic Chain Log Turners and dual Hydraulic Log Clamps, you go into any job knowing your mill can handle it. Plus, lots of local circle mills won’t take logs this big – so prices on huge logs can be low… yet the wood that comes out of them is worth just as much!
