Ultra MAX blades last longer for two plain reasons: better material and better manufacturing.

The material is an alloy we developed after a metallurgical analysis. It is unlike any other blade steel. You get beam strength that rivals thicker blades, along with the longer life and flexibility of thinner ones.

The manufacturing comes down to the teeth. Ours are ground. Most are stamped, and lab testing shows stamping leaves permanent stress in the steel, even when the teeth are milled afterward. Stressed steel fails easier and sooner.

Put the two together and lab torture tests show Ultra MAX lasting up to nearly 40% longer than competitors’ blades. It also takes more resharpenings than our standard Ultra blade, so every blade in the box goes further.
