The TimberKing Advantage
THE BIG 3 —TimberKing’s Industry-Best Solid-Welded Superstructure.
You need a mill that’s tough enough to stand up to the heavy logs and hard work you expect it to handle. Our Solid-Welded Four-Post Head, Twin Beam Log Deck and Big-Beam Cut Core eliminate bolt-together structural designs common on competitive mills — and the constant readjustment and retightening that comes with them. Made in the USA
Big-3 Super-Structure and all fabricated parts are Made in USA: cut, shaped, welded, painted and assembled right here in Kansas City. Made in USA means providing jobs here at home. But it’s also what lets us solid-weld our Big 3 Superstructure. Overseas sourcing requires a modular, bolt-together design …which means toughness takes a back seat to shipping efficiency. No such worries when you make your major components the right way, right here in the USA.
Idler-Pulley Blade Drive: Industry-Best Power Transmission & Capacity
Blade drive belts on TimberKing hydraulic mills are installed with an idler pulley. That means you get two big advantages. First, you get maximum belt-to-drive pulley surface contact – for maxed out power transmission. Second, idler-pulleys eliminate the cut-off corner on the cut-throats of other brands.
Industry-Best Massive 4-Corner Cut Throat
Standard cut throats on TimberKing mills are often bigger than competitors’ “wide” versions. On our larger mills, the blade raises a full THREE FEET off the cutting deck. That means TK Mills handle the big ones with no chainsaw trimming. Idler-Pulley Blade Drive eliminates the “cut off corner” common with other brands. With TimberKing, you use all 4-Corners of the cut throat, meaning you cut deeper and wider than competitors. And because you can cut deeper, you don’t have to off-load as often.
Every hydraulic TimberKing mill has simple, trouble-free, engine-driven, hydraulic controls. This is a proven, straightforward, DIRECT MECHANICAL solution… far more dependable than 12-volt electric switching and motors. We perfected this system over 15 years ago – and we’re flattered that others have decided to copy it.
Full-Time Hydraulic Power – you don’t work part-time…nor should your mill.
Crucial hydraulic log-handling tools — turners, log stops, log clamps, toe boards — work full-time for TimberKing owners. That means if you get into a tight spot part-way through the log, or want to make an adjustment when the cutting head is at the far end of the mill, you can. Compare to “part-time” hydraulics on competitive mills, where hydraulic tools completely shut down when the cutting head leaves the back of the machine.
Stand & Deliver with Ergonomic Hydraulic Controls
TimberKing hydraulic controls are at elbow-height, right where they should be for comfortable and efficient operation over a long workday. Compare to other brands who place controls low to the ground, making you lean over every time you want to operate basic mill functions…or ask you to pay thousands extra to get them put where they should have been in the first place.
