Some jobs call for more blade. This is the 1-1/2″ Ultra MAX for the TimberKing 2200 and 2500, a quarter inch wider than our standard 1-1/4″ band.
A wider band is a stiffer band. It resists wandering in wide cuts and under a heavy feed, which is where a production mill earns its money.
Width is only part of it. Ultra MAX steel is an alloy we created after a metallurgical analysis. It delivers beam strength rivaling thicker blades, and it keeps the flexibility and long life of thinner ones.
The teeth are ground, not stamped. Lab testing shows stamping permanently stresses the steel, and the blade fails easier and sooner because of it. Grinding is the right way to do it, so that is how we do it.
In lab torture tests, Ultra MAX blades last up to nearly 40% longer than competitors’ blades.
Prefer a standard-width band? The 2200/2500 Ultra MAX also comes in 1-1/4″. If you are not sure which width suits your mill and your logs, call 800-942-4406 and talk it through with someone who knows these machines.
